My Testimony (Moje Świadectwo)

Daj nam odwagę, by głosić Dobrą Nowinę każdej osobie, którą spotkamy. Dziękuję Ci, Panie, że nas zbawiłeś.

As for me, I was dead in my transgressions I was bound to my sin, and bound to condemnation As for me, I was an object of His wrath And fully deserving of death, fully deserving of death But You saw me there, because of Your great love You saw me there, because You’re rich in mercy And You made me alive when I was dead You raised me up and seated me with Christ And it’s by Your grace that I am saved And it’s through faith; it’s the very gift of God. ("Gift of God," song lyrics by Justin Rizzo - based on Eph. 2:1-8)

This is my testimony. This is what God has done for me. This is the good news for Poland. O Lord, remind us how lost we were without You -- and how You have made us alive forever. Give us the courage to spread the good news to everyone we meet. Thank You, Lord, for saving us.

Kiedy będziemy wierni w świadczeniu o Jezusie, coraz więcej ludzi uwierzy i Królestwo Boże będzie rosło.

(Psalm 47;2-3)

I must start by saying I am sad that Poland lost against Czech last night. But I am also proud that the white and red team played so well. Maybe you could hear me cheer loudly each time we almost scored a goal -- and perhaps you heard my scream of dismay when Czech scored?? Our son has played soccer for 13 years, so I love to watch soccer and sometimes I get a little crazy. :)

We were in Warsaw when Poland played Russia, but we were not near the stadium when the fights began. It is interesting that while such tension exists among some people, we are hosting a camp in Poland this week for youth from Russia and Belarus. Here we hope to build bridges between the nations, especially among the young people.

Yes, the tragic reality is that many nations have deep hatred for one another. Yet we see that in every nation there is a remnant of believers who are disciples of Jesus and citizens of the kingdom of God. These believers represent God's presence among the nations and can walk in unity with one another. As we are faithful to testify of Jesus, more will believe and the kingdom of God will grow. Let us pray that the light of Jesus in Poland and the nations of the earth will shatter the darkness of racism and bring peace between all people. True peace only comes through the Prince of Peace who shed His blood to reconcile us to God and to each other. All praise to the King of the nations!

Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph! For the Lord Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth. (Psalm 47:1-2)

Save Your People (Zbaw Swoich Ludzi)

Codziennie uwielbiamy Boga i prosimy Go, by dał nam siłę do służby. Modlimy się, by Jego obecność wypełniała to miejsce, a miłość, radość i nadzieja obfitowały.

“Bracia! Pragnienie serca mego i modlitwa zanoszona do Boga zmierzają ku zbawieniu Izraela.” ( Rzymian 10;1).

For most of the summer, David and I will be serving at Ostróda Camp. We have 9 young adult interns to help us -- 7 from America and 2 from Ukraine (see photo). We meet daily to worship God and to ask for His strength to help us serve. We believe this is a place where many people, both young and old, can encounter God and His Son, Jesus. It is our prayer that His presence will fill this place and that His love, joy, and hope will abound.

Currently we are hosting 24 Russian-speaking Holocaust survivors from Israel. Most of them are not yet believers in Yeshua. Each day a few of them share their story. As you can imagine, their stories are filled with suffering. Some of them now live in Sderot, a city very close to Gaza that has been the target of 1,000's of rockets. They are thankful to be in Ostróda where the trees are green, the lake is lovely, and no bombs are falling on their heads.

Will you please join us in prayer for these dear people? Daily we share testimony with them -- loving them, hugging them, serving them --praying that the light and love of Yeshua will shine through us. May Jesus reveal Himself to them and may they have eyes to see and ears to hear. O Lord, please save Your people!

"Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved." (Romans 10:1)

Go Polska! (Do Boju, Polsko!)

Z drugiej strony jednak, prośmy o wiele okazji, by imię Jezusa mogło być uwielbione. Niech rozmaite organizacje chrześcijańskie, które planują przeprowadzać ewangelizacje, wykażą się mądrością, współczuciem i wrażliwością wobec tych, którzy potrzebują nadziei. Niech światło Jezusa jaśnieje w Polsce dla wszystkich, którzy Go potrzebują. Niech każdy z nas zachowa czujność, być być gotowym do służby w Jego imieniu.

“Aby poznano na ziemi drogę twoją, Wśród wszystkich narodów zbawienie twoje. Niech sławią cię, Boże, ludy; Niech sławią cię wszystkie ludy! “ (Psalm 67; 3-4). Do boju, Polsko! ;)

Dave and I are happy to once again be in Poland. Things have changed, though, since we were just here in April. For example, we were surprised yesterday when we took a team of university students to the center of Warsaw and the trams and buses were gone on Marszalkowska street! Banners, billboards, Coca-Cola cups, cars with Polish flags out their windows -- EuroCup 2012 is everywhere!

It is an exciting time as thousands of visitors will stream into Poland from all of Europe and beyond. Some of our Polish friends are trying to get tickets to watch a game at one of the new stadiums. Others of our Polish friends are trying to get tickets to fly out of the country! :) It may be a crazy three weeks.

Whatever our perspective on the EuroCup 2012 may be, it is surely a time for each of us to pray. Let us pray for the security of both Poland and Ukraine. Let us pray that violence will not erupt and that no wicked plots will succeed. During these types of large international events, sex trafficking and other forms of exploitation are often on the increase. Let us pray against all kinds of evil and injustice.

On the other hand, let us pray for many opportunities for the name of Jesus to be exalted. May the various Christian organizations that plan to evangelize be wise, compassionate, and sensitive to those who are in need of hope. May the light of Jesus shine forth in Poland to the crowds of people in need of Him. May each of us be alert to the needs around us and be willing to serve in His name.

"May your ways be known throughout the earth, your saving power among people everywhere. May the nations praise you, O God. Yes, may all the nations praise you." (Psalm 67:2-3) Go Polska! :)
