"Stand Up and Praise God!" ("Powstańcie i chwalcie Boga!")

Jak zauważyliście, w tym tygodniu email jest nieco dłuższy niż zwykle. Byłam poruszona Bożym Słowem i chciałabym się z Wami podzielić tym, co pali się w moim sercu.

W tym tygodniu czytam Księgę Nehemiasza i jestem zdumiona odpowiedzią Izraelitow na Słowo Boga. Zachęcam Was do przeczytania 8 i 9 rozdziału tej księgi.

David i ja modlimy się, aby Polacy (włączając tych, którzy są w kościele) ...
1) honorowali i respektowali Boże Słowo (Neh. 8;5)
2) zgadzali się z Bożym Słowem i odpowiadali z uwielbieniem (Neh. 8;6)
3) byli złamani i skruszeni, kiedy prawda Bożego Słowa będzie przeszywać ich serca (Neh. 8;9)
4) szybko stawali się posłuszni Bożym przykazaniom i doświadczali wielkiej RADOŚCI (Neh. 8; 12-17)
5) modlili się, pościli i wyznawali swoje grzechy (Neh. 9; 1-2)
6) oddawali się zupełnie Bogu - szukając Go bardziej niż wszystkiego innego (Neh. 9;3)
7) chwalili Boga całymi swoimi sercami (Neh. 9;5-6)
8) pamiętali o Bożej wierności (Neh. 9;7-37)

Czytając te dwa rozdziały, spróbujcie sobie wyobrazić, że tam jesteście. Zobrazujcie w swoich umysłach kolejne wydarzenia. Poczujcie emocje. Pozwólcie Bożemu Duchowi, by dotykał Waszych serc. Co On mówi do Ciebie? Co mówi do ludzi wierzących w Polsce?

A wszyscy z Was, którzy są jak Lewici - służą Panu i prowadzą ludzi (tak jak pastorzy, liderzy uwielbienia itd.), zwróćcie proszę uwagę na to, co czynili Lewici:
1) nauczali ludzi w sposób jasny, zrozumiały (Neh. 8;7-8)
2) uspakajali ludzi i mówili im, aby się nie smucili (zachęcali ich) (Neh. 8;11)
3) popatrzcie na Nehemiasza 9; 4-5 [mój ulubiony!] -- Lewici stali na stopniu, wzywając donośnym głosem i mówiąc do ludzi: "Powstańcie, błogosławcie Pana, waszego Boga, od wieku aż na wieki." Czy to widzicie? Lewici z pasją wzywali ludzi do uwielbienia!

A to my jesteśmy tymi, którzy stoją na stopniu, czyniąc swój głos donośniejszym niż hałas tłumu i krzycząc: "Powstańcie i chwalcie Boga!!" Żyjemy wśród nich, nauczamy ich Bożego Słowa, łagodnie zachęcamy, gdy widzą swój grzech i okazują skruchę przed Bogiem, a potem wznoszą swoje oczy na wywyższonego i uwielbionego, Który jest godzien chwały!

O, niech Polska zwróci się swoim sercem do Pana! Niech zrodzi się głód i pragnienie Bożego Słowa! Niech zapanuje prawdziwa skrucha i uniżenie przed Bogiem. A my, jako liderzy, bądźmy przygotowani, by nauczać, pocieszać i wzywać naród do uwielbienia!!

As you can see, this week's email is longer than usual.  I was so touched by God's Word and wanted to share it with you.  It is burning in my heart. 

This week I have been reading the book of Nehemiah, and I am amazed at the Israelite's response to the Word of God.  I would encourage you to read chapters 8 and 9 of Nehemiah. 

David and I are praying that the people of Poland (including those in the church) ...

1)  will honor and respect the Word of God  (Neh. 8:5)
2)  will agree with God's Word and respond in worship (Neh. 8:6)
3)  will be broken and repentant as the truth of God's Word pierces their hearts (Neh. 8:9)
4)  will be quick to obey God's commands and will experience great JOY!! (Neh. 8:12-17)
5)  will fast and pray and confess their sins (Neh. 9:1-2)
6)  will give themselves completely to God -- seeking Him above all else (Neh. 9:3)
7)  will praise God with all their hearts (Neh. 9:5-6)
8)  will remember God's faithfulness (Neh. 9:7-37) 

As you read these two chapters, try to imagine that you are there.  Picture in your mind what is happening.  Feel the emotion.  Allow God's Spirit to touch your heart.  What is He saying to you?  What is He saying to the believers in Poland?

And for those of you who, like the Levites, minister before the Lord and lead the people (as pastors, worship leaders, etc.), please notice what the Levites were doing:

1)  teaching the Word of God to the people in such a clear way that they could understand it (Neh. 8:7-8) 
2)  calming the people and telling them not to grieve  (encouraging them) (Neh. 8:11)
3)  look at Nehemiah 9:4-5 [my favorite!!] -- the Levites were standing on the stairs, calling out with loud voices, and saying to the people, "Stand up and praise the Lord your God, who is from everlasting!! ... Blessed be your glorious name ...."  Can't you see it? They were passionately calling the people to worship! 

And that's us!!  We're the ones standing on the stairs, making our voices louder than the noise of the crowd -- and shouting "Stand up and praise your God!!"  We come alongside them, teach them God's Word, gently encourage them as they see their sin and repent before God, and then lift their eyes up to the exalted and glorious One who is worthy of praise! 

Oh, may Poland return with all their hearts to the Lord!  May there be a hunger and thirst for God's Word!  May there be true repentance and humility before God.  And may we, as leaders, be prepared to teach, to comfort, and to call the nation to worship!
