Sorry (Bardzo mi przykro)

W tym tygodniu usłyszałam w wiadomościach, że prezydent Obama zrezygnował z budowy tarczy antyrakietowej w Polsce i Czechach, i muszę przyznać, że byłam zła z tego powodu. Wydaje mi się, że oddanie i lojalność Polski jako jednego z sojuszników USA są często niedoceniane i dlatego chciałam osobiście pójść i powiedzieć Obamie, co o tym myślę.

Modliłam się do Boga i prosiłam Go o pomoc w walce z moim gniewem. Przypomniał mi te dwie prawdy:
1) Nie możemy pokładać ufności w człowieku (Ks. Jeremiasza 17;5,7). Nasza nadzieja jest jedynie w Bogu. To On jest naszą ucieczką i siłą i BĘDZIE wywyższony wśród narodów (Psalm 46). On jest naszym Obrońcą, Twierdzą i Tarczą (Psalm 144;2). Ufajmy jedynie Jemu!
2) Toczymy duchową walkę. Kiedy przyglądamy się rzeczom, które mają miejsce na świecie, wydaje się nam jasne, że czas jest bliski. My, którzy znamy Jezusa, jesteśmy powołani, by być "strażnikami na murze" (być może to MY jesteśmy polską tarczą antyrakietową?). Jesteśmy czujni i gotowi, by zatrąbić i ostrzec ludzi o nadchodzącym niebezpieczeństwie (Ks. Ezechiela 33;1-11). Tak jak zabrzmiały trąby w sobotę (19. września) w czasie "Święta Trąbek" (III Ks. Mojżeszowa 23;24), tak samo musimy wznieść alarm i ogłosić: "Obudźcie się, drodzy! Zawróćcie ze swoich złych dróg! Wybierzcie życie! Bądźcie gotowi, bo oto nadchodzi Król!". Czy chcecie "zatrąbić", by ostrzec tych, których kochacie?

Jako Amerykanka chcę Wam powiedzieć, że jest mi przykro. Wierzę, że są miliony Amerykanów, którzy czują podobnie i są zszokowani decyzją Obamy z 17. września. Wielu Amerykanów – tak samo jak Polaków – czuje się zdradzonych przez nasz rząd. Proszę Was z pokorą, abyście modlili się za Amerykę. Bardziej niż kiedykolwiek, my – jako naśladowcy Chrystusa- musimy modlić się za siebie nawzajem i być w Nim zjednoczeni. Jesteśmy obywatelami Jego Królestwa i nasze oddanie dla Króla królów jest tym, co będzie nas łączyć w nadchodzących dniach. O, Boże, dopomóż nam!!

This week as I heard in the news that President Obama has decided not to implement the missile defense system in Poland and Czech Republic, I must admit that I was angry. It seems to me that Poland ’s commitment and loyalty as one of America ’s allies is often not appreciated and so I wanted to personally go and tell Obama what I thought.

I prayed to God and asked Him to help me with my anger. He reminded me of these two truths:
1) We cannot put our trust in man (Jeremiah 17:5, 7). Our hope is in God alone. He is our refuge and strength and He WILL be exalted among the nations (Psalm 46). He is our Defender, our Fortress, and our Shield (Psalm 144:2). May we trust only in Him!
2) We are in a spiritual battle. As we see all that is happening in our world, it is clear that the time is short. We who know Jesus are called to be “watchmen on the wall” (maybe WE are Poland’s missile defense system?). We are the ones who stay alert and are ready to blow the trumpet to warn the people when danger is coming (see Ezekiel 33:1-11). Just as the trumpets (shofars) were blown on Saturday (Sept. 19) for the “Feast of Trumpets” (Leviticus 23:24), so we must sound the alarm and proclaim: “Wake up, dear people! Turn from your wicked ways! Choose life! Get ready, for the King is coming!!” Are you willing to “blow the trumpet” to warn those you love?

As an American, I want to say I am so sorry. I believe there are millions of Americans who feel the same as me and we are appalled by Obama's actions on September 17. As Poland is feeling betrayed, many people in America are also feeling betrayed by our government. I humbly ask that you will pray for America . More than ever before, we who follow Jesus must pray for one another and be united in Him. We are citizens of His Kingdom and our commitment to the King of kings is what will keep us together in the days to come. Help us, O God!!
