For the Youth (Za Młodzież)

W tym tygodniu oglądałam zwiastuny dwóch polskich filmów: "Świnki" i "Galerianki". Moje serce jest zasmucone, kiedy myślę o tych młodych ludziach, którzy są gotowi sprzedawać samych siebie, by zarobić pieniądze. Tak, jest to prawdziwą troską, że część polskiej młodzieży zatraca poczucie moralności, ale jeszcze gorsza jest tragedia, że ich życie jest niszczone. Gdyby tylko mogli poznać Jezusa - wspaniałego Człowieka, który kocha ich silną i niegasnącą miłością - gdyby byli Nim zafascynowani, rzeczy tego świata zbladłyby w porównaniu z Nim. Proszę, dołączcie do mnie i Dave'a, gdy będziemy się modlić w tym tygodniu za młodzież w Polsce. Niech Bóg ochrania ich od ataków Szatana i intryg złych ludzi. Niech wypełni ich głodem tego, co "prawdziwe" i "wieczne" w życiu. Niech da im prawdziwych przyjaciół, którzy będą ich kochać i wskażą na Jezusa.

Nadal dodawajmy sobie nawzajem otuchy w miłości i dobrych uczynkach, widząc że ten Dzień się przybliża (Hebrajczyków 10;25). Módlmy się również za Haiti.

This week I watched the trailers for two Polish movies (2009): "Piggies" (Swinki) and "Mall Girls" (Galerianki). My heart was grieved as I thought about these young people who are willing to sell themselves in order to make money. Yes, it is a serious concern that some of the youth in Poland are losing a sense of morality, but even more than that is the tragedy that their lives are being destroyed. If only they could meet Jesus -- the glorious Man who loves them with an intense and passionate love -- and be so fascinated with Him that the things of the world completely fade in comparison. Please join Dave and me as we pray for the youth of Poland. May God protect them from Satan's attack and the schemes of evil men. May God fill them with a hunger for the "real" and "eternal" things in life. May He provide them with true friends who will love them and point them to Jesus.

Let us continue to encourage one another in love and good deeds as we see the Day approaching - Heb. 10:25. And, of course, let us also pray for Haiti.
