Trust (Ufność)

W tym tygodniu wiadomości w Ameryce przepełnione są doniesieniami o śmierci Osamy bin Ladena. Minęło prawie dziesięć lat od wydarzeń z 11. września i poszukiwanie Osamy było długie i trudne. Jednakże, to dobra wiadomość i jesteśmy wdzięczni, że sprawiedliwości stało się zadość. Mimo to, nie jest to czas na dumę lub przechwalanie się. Bitwa przeciwko złu wciąż trwa i nie możemy polegać na swojej własnej sile. W Przypowieściach Salomona 21;31 jest napisane: “ Konia przygotowują na dzień bitwy, lecz zwycięstwo zależy od Pana.” Głupotą jest pokładanie ufności w nas samych, naszej sile militarnej, naszej inteligencji czy bogactwie... bo to od Pana zależy zwycięstwo. Proszę, dołączcie do mnie w modlitwie za Amerykę, a także za Polskę i inne narody świata, byśmy w trzeźwości chodzili przed obliczem Pana w uniżeniu. Niech przywódcy naszych krajów złożą swoje zaufanie w Bogu i czczą Jego imię.

„Jedni chlubią się wozami, drudzy końmi, Lecz my chlubimy się imieniem Pana, Boga naszego.” (Psalm 20;8)

„Oznajmiono ci, człowiecze, co jest dobre i czego PAN żąda od ciebie; tylko, abyś wypełniał prawo, okazywał miłość bratnią i w pokorze obcował ze swoim Bogiem.” (Ks. Micheasza 6;8)

This week the news in America is filled with reports about the death of Osama bin Laden. It has been almost 10 years since the events of 9/11 and the search for Osama has been long and difficult. Therefore, it is a good report and we are thankful that justice was upheld. Still, this is not a time for pride or boasting. The battle against evil continues and we cannot rely on our own strength. Proverbs 21:31 states, "The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but deliverance is of the Lord." It is folly to trust in ourselves, in our military strength, our intelligence, our wealth ... for only in God is our deliverance. Please join me in praying for America, as well as for Poland and the other nations of the world, that in sober judgment we will walk in humility before the Lord. May the leaders of our countries put their trust in God and revere His name.
