True Peace (Prawdziwy Pokój)

Zacznę od tego, że jest mi smutno, że Polska przegrała wczoraj z Czechami. Ale jestem też dumna, że biało-czerwoni grali tak dobrze. Być może słyszeliście moje okrzyki za każdym razem, kiedy mieliśmy szansę zdobyć gola i ten jęk zawodu, kiedy Czesi strzelili bramkę. Nasz syn od 13 lat gra w piłkę, więc lubię kibicować i czasami mocno się angażuję;)

Byliśmy w Warszawie, kiedy Polska grała z Rosją, ale nie w pobliżu stadionu, kiedy zaczęły się bójki. To ciekawe, że w czasie, kiedy mają miejsce te starcia, gościmy na naszym obozie młodzież z Rosji i Białorusi. Chcemy budować tu mosty między narodami, zwłaszcza pośród młodych ludzi.

Niestety, rzeczywistość przedstawia się tragicznie i wiele narodów nosi w sobie głęboko zakorzenioną nienawiść. Ale wiemy, że w każdym z nich jest resztka wierzących, którzy są uczniami Jezusa i obywatelami Królestwa Bożego. To oni reprezentują obecność Bożą pośród narodów i chodzą w jedności ze sobą. Kiedy będziemy wierni w świadczeniu o Jezusie, coraz więcej ludzi uwierzy i Królestwo Boże będzie rosło. Módlmy się, by światło Jezusa w Polsce i narodach ziemi zniweczyło ciemność rasizmu i zaprowadziło pokój między wszystkimi ludźmi. Prawdziwy pokój pochodzi jedynie od Księcia Pokoju, który przelał Swoją krew, by pojednać nas z Bogiem i ze sobą nawzajem. Cała chwała dla Króla narodów!

Wszystkie narody, klaskajcie w dłonie! Wykrzykujcie Bogu głosem radosnym, Gdyż Pan, Najwyższy, jest groźny, Jest wielkim Królem całej ziemi! (Psalm 47;2-3)

I must start by saying I am sad that Poland lost against Czech last night. But I am also proud that the white and red team played so well. Maybe you could hear me cheer loudly each time we almost scored a goal -- and perhaps you heard my scream of dismay when Czech scored?? Our son has played soccer for 13 years, so I love to watch soccer and sometimes I get a little crazy. :)

We were in Warsaw when Poland played Russia, but we were not near the stadium when the fights began. It is interesting that while such tension exists among some people, we are hosting a camp in Poland this week for youth from Russia and Belarus. Here we hope to build bridges between the nations, especially among the young people.

Yes, the tragic reality is that many nations have deep hatred for one another. Yet we see that in every nation there is a remnant of believers who are disciples of Jesus and citizens of the kingdom of God. These believers represent God's presence among the nations and can walk in unity with one another. As we are faithful to testify of Jesus, more will believe and the kingdom of God will grow. Let us pray that the light of Jesus in Poland and the nations of the earth will shatter the darkness of racism and bring peace between all people. True peace only comes through the Prince of Peace who shed His blood to reconcile us to God and to each other. All praise to the King of the nations!
