Power of Music (Siła muzyki)

Jest piątek, 26 czerwca i tu w USA tragiczna śmierć Michaela Jacksona wypełnia nasze wiadomości. Całą noc i dzień nasze media poświęcone są jego pamięci. MTV nieustannie pokazuje filmy z koncertów "Krola Popu" (np. "Thriller", "Beat It," "The Way You Make Me Feel," itd.). Był on rzeczywiście niesamowitym artystą i cały świat jest zszokowany
wiadomością o jego śmierci.

Kiedy widzę hołd oddawany Michaelowi i czytam wiadomości z całego świata, jest to dla mnie niezwykłe przypomnienie o sile muzyki i rozrywki. Od więzienia na Filipinach
po scenę włoską i Pavarottiego, muzyka Michaela wywiera wpływ na miliony ludzi. Muzyka i wielki ekran przemawiają do serc ludzi każdej kultury w taki sposób, jak nic innego.

Módlmy się, by Bóg podbił świat muzyki i rozrywki i użył go dla Swojej chwały. Módlmy się, by powołał w Polsce kobiety i mężczyzn uzdolnionych muzycznie i artystycznie, którzy poświęciliby swoje talenty dla królestwa. Módlmy się, by Bóg wzniecał kreatywność chrześcijańskich autorów tekstów, muzyków, scenarzystów, producentów filmowych, ...by otworzył im drzwi, aby mogli mieć silny i skuteczny głos w Polsce. Módlmy się także za słynnych ludzi, którzy posiadają już głos - by mogli spotkać Jezusa i ich życie zostało przez Niego przemienione. Módlmy się, by media w Polsce były przeobrażone przez moc Boga!

Today is Friday, June 26, and here in the States the tragic death of Michael Jackson is filling our news. All night and all day our media is dedicated to his memory. MTV is showing non-stop videos and concerts from "the King of Pop" (e.g., "Thriller," "Beat It," "The Way You Make Me Feel," etc.). He truly was an incredible entertainer and all the world is shocked by his death.

As I watch the tributes to Michael and read the news from around the world, it is an amazing reminder of the power of music and entertainment. From a prison in the Philippines to a stage in Italy with Pavarotti, Michael's music has affected millions of people. Music and the big screen speaks to the hearts of men and women of every culture in a way unlike anything else.

Let us pray that God would invade the world of music and entertainment and use it for His glory. Let us pray that God would raise up men and women in Poland who are skilled in music and the arts who would dedicate their skills to the kingdom. Let's pray that God would download creativity to Christian songwriters, musicians, movie script-writers, film producers, ... that He would open doors for them to have a powerful and effective voice in Poland. Let us pray for current celebrities who already have a voice to encounter Jesus and have their lives changed by Him. Let us pray that the media in Poland would be transformed by the power of God!
