Auschwitz

Dzisiaj wraz z mężem zwiedziliśmy Auschwitz-Birkenau. Chociaż byliśmy tam już kilka razy, to widok tego, co wydarzyło się nie tak dawno temu, jest zawsze wstrząsającym przeżyciem.

Gdy spacerowałam w tym miejscu, mój umysł był pełen myśli. Oto 4 z nich:

1)...serce człowieka może być bardzo złe.
Zauważyłam, że muszę w to wliczyć także siebie. Bez Boga nie ma we mnie niczego dobrego (Rzymian 3;10-12).

2)...miliony ludzi doświadczyło nieopisanego cierpienia.
Przypomniałam sobie jednak werset, który czytałam wcześniej w tym
tygodniu. Księga Izajasza 63;8 mówi, że "stał się ich Zbawicielem we wszelkiej ich niedoli". Wierzę, że Bóg cierpiał wraz z nimi.

3)...musimy się modlić.
Musimy modlić się, by Bóg przyniósł nadzieję, przebaczenie i uzdrowienie dla tych, którzy zostali mocno dotknięci przez Holokaust. Musimy modlić się, by Bóg zastąpił ducha śmierci duchem życia nad narodem polskim. Musimy modlić się o pojednanie między Żydami a Kościołem. Musimy modlić się, abyśmy my-jako kochający Jezusa Mesjasza- byli gotowi stanąć razem, gdy nadejdzie prześladowanie. Musimy modlić się, aby oczy Żydów zostały
otworzone i by rozpoznali, że Jezus jest Mesjaszem, powrócili do Niego w pokucie i odnaleźli życie.

4)...nadchodzi dzień, kiedy Jezus powróci i Izrael zostanie odnowiony. Popioły zostaną zastąpione pięknem. Wszyscy królowie ziemi ujrzą sprawiedliwość Izraela, a Żydzi staną się koroną chwały w ręku Pana (Ks. Izajasza 62; 2-3). Alleluja!

Today my husband and I visited Auschwitz-Birkenau. Although we have been there a few times, it is always a very traumatic experience to see what happened not so long ago.  As I walked through the grounds, my mind was filled with many thoughts. Here are 4 of them: 1) ... the heart of man can be very evil. I realized, though, that I must include myself in this. Apart from God, there is nothing good in me. (Romans 3:10-12) 2) ... millions endured indescribable suffering. But I remembered a Scripture I read earlier this week. Isaiah 63:9 says that "In all their affliction He (the Lord) was also afflicted." I believe God suffered alongside them. 3) ... we must pray. We must pray that God will bring hope, forgiveness, and healing for those closely affected by the Holocaust. We must pray that God will replace the spirit of death with a spirit of life over the nation of Poland. We must pray for reconciliation between the Jewish people and the Church. We must pray that we who love Jesus the Messiah will be prepared to stand with His people when such persecution arises. We must pray that the eyes of the Jewish people will be open to recognize that Jesus is the Messiah and that they will turn to Him in repentance and find life. 4) ... a day is coming when Jesus will return and Israel will be restored. The ashes will be replaced by beauty. All the kings of the earth will see Israel's righteousness and the Jewish people will be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord! (Isaiah 62:2-3). Hallelujah!
