Szczęśliwego Nowego Roku!
Kiedy piszę ten list, rok 2012 trwa zaledwie 3 godziny. Gdy zegar wybił dziś północ, byłam wraz z 25 000 innych ludzi w Centrum Kongresowym w Kansas City w ramach konferencji IHOP-u OneThing. To zachwycające być pośród tysięcy młodych ludzi z całego świata, którzy wyciągają swoje ręce do nieba, wyrażając swą miłość do Boga! Śpiewaliśmy, wykrzykiwaliśmy, klaskliśmy, tańczyliśmy i radowaliśmy się z całych sił w Jego obecności. W pewnym momecie betonowa podłoga ogromnej sali drżała pod ciężarem tłumu, kiedy skakaliśmy z radości. To wspaniały sposób, by przywitać Nowy Rok! To, co oferuje Times Square w Nowym Jorku nie dorównuje ani trochę wydarzeniom, w których uczestniczyliśmy w Kansas City.
A Kim jest Ten, którego uwielbiamy? To Jezus, błogosławiony Mesjasz. Jego spojrzenie jest jak ogień, Jego włosy białe jak wełna, Jego głos jak grzmot; On jest wspaniały. On jest Królem Izraela, który zasiądzie na tronie Dawida na wieki. On jest Panem wszelkiego stworzenia, który wstąpił do niebios i zasiadł po prawicy Boga, Ojca. On jest wspaniały i godny nieustannej chwały.
Boże, wychwalamy Cię, że wzbudzasz uwielbienie i modlitwę pośród narodów w przygotowaniu na powrót Twojego Syna. Czy możesz wzbudzić jeszcze większe uwielbienie i modlitwę w narodzie polskim dla chwały Twego wielkiego imienia? Czy możesz włożyć głód w serca Twoich ludzi, by poznawali Cię więcej, chwalili Cię więcej, szukali Cię więcej, kochali Cię więcej? Oddajemy ten nowy 2012 rok dla Ciebie i dla Twej chwały. Panie, bądź wywyższony w Polsce!
Happy New Year!
As I write this email, the year 2012 is only 3 hours old. When the clock struck midnight tonight, I was with 25,000 people in the Kansas City Convention Center as part of the IHOP OneThing conference. How exhilarating to be among 1,000’s of young adults from all over the world with their hands raised to heaven, expressing their love to God! We sang, shouted, clapped, danced, and rejoiced with all our might in His presence. At one point, the concrete floor of the massive auditorium was bouncing up and down under the weight of the crowd as we jumped for joy. What an amazing way to welcome the New Year! Times Square in New York City offers nothing in comparison.
And Who is it that we worship? It is Jesus, the blessed Messiah. His eyes are like fire, his hair white like wool, His voice like thunder; He is the glorious One. He is the King of Israel who will sit on David’s throne forever. He is the Lord of all who ascended to the highest heavens and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father. He is the magnificent One who is worthy of unending praise.
O God, we praise you that you are raising up worship and prayer throughout the nations in preparation for your Son’s return. Would you please cause worship and prayer to arise in even greater measure in the nation of Poland for the glory of your great name? Would you place a hunger in the hearts of your people to know you more, to praise you more, to seek you more, to love you more? We commit this new year of 2012 to you and to your glory. O Lord, be exalted in Poland!
