Osamy bin Ladena. Minęło prawie dziesięć lat od wydarzeń z 11. września i
poszukiwanie Osamy było długie i trudne. Jednakże, to dobra wiadomość i jesteśmy
krajów złożą swoje zaufanie w Bogu i czczą Jego imię.
„Jedni chlubią się wozami, drudzy końmi, Lecz my
chlubimy się imieniem Pana, Boga naszego.” (Psalm 20;8)
„Oznajmiono ci, człowiecze, co jest dobre i czego PAN żąda od ciebie;
swoim Bogiem.” (Ks. Micheasza 6;8)
This week the news
in America is filled with reports about the death of Osama bin
Laden. It has been almost 10 years since the events of 9/11 and the
search for Osama has been long and difficult. Therefore, it is a good report
and we are thankful that justice was upheld. Still, this is not a time for
pride or boasting. The battle against evil continues and we cannot rely on our
own strength. Proverbs 21:31 states, "The
horse is prepared for the day of battle, but deliverance is of the
Lord." It is folly to trust in ourselves, in our military strength, our
intelligence, our wealth ... for only in God is our deliverance. Please join me
in praying for America, as well as for Poland and
the other nations of the world, that in sober judgment we will walk in humility
before the Lord. May the leaders of our countries put their trust in
God and revere His name.
"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we
will remember the name of the
Lord our God." (Psalm 20:7)
"He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does
the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with
your God?" (Micah 6:8)

Sprawdziłam w słowniku słowo – beatyfikować – i definicja
Obj. św. Jana 14;12: „Tu się okaże wytrwanie świętych, którzy przestrzegają przykazań Bożych i wiary Jezusa.”
Efezjan 2;19: „Tak więc już nie jesteście obcymi i przychodniami, lecz współobywatelami świętych i domownikami Boga.”
Psalm 115;12-18: „Pan pamięta o nas, będzie nas błogosławił, będzie błogosławił domowi Izraela, będzie błogosławił domowi Aarona, będzie błogosławił tym, którzy się boją Pana, zarówno małym, jak i wielkim. Niech Pan rozmnoży was, was i dzieci wasze! Bądźcie błogosławieni przez Pana. Który uczynił niebo i ziemię! Niebiosa są niebiosami Pana. Ale ziemię dał synom ludzkim. Umarli nie będą chwalili Pana ani ci, którzy zstępują do krainy milczenia. Ale my błogosławić będziemy Pana odtąd i na wieki. Chwalcie Pana!"
Niech wołają do Niego, do Źródła wszystkich cudów i Twórcy życia. Niech odnajdą nadzieję, radość, wolność i błogosławieństwo jedynie w Nim. Boże, czy będziesz pasterzem Polaków.
As you know, today (Sunday) in Rome is the beatification of Pope John Paul II. I looked up this word -- to "beatify" -- and the definition reads: "To declare a deceased person to be among the blessed and thus entitled to specific religious honor." It brings Pope John Paul II one step closer to being declared a "saint."
First of all, I want to say that I have respect for Pope John Paul II. From what I have read about him, he was truly a godly man who did much good for the world during his lifetime. Yet, although he was elevated to a place of great influence and authority, he remains a man.
I typed in "blessed" and "saint" in the Bible concordance and was SO encouraged to be reminded that each of us who have put our trust in God are greatly blessed. We are included among the saints who will reign with Messiah forever! We don't have to wait for a miracle to be credited to our name or for a committee to analyze the way we lived our lives -- we are blessed, made holy, and included among the saints solely through the blood of Jesus and our submission to Him! Hallelujah!
Psalm 50:5 "Gather My saints together to Me, those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice."
Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
Ephesians 2:19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.
Psalm 115:12-18
The Lord has been mindful of us; He will bless us;
He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron.
He will bless those who fear the Lord, both small and great.
May the Lord give you increase more and more, you and your children.
May you be blessed by the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
The heavens, even the heavens, are the Lord's;
But the earth He has given to the children of men.
The dead do not praise the Lord, nor any who go down into silence.
But we will bless the Lord from this time forth and forevermore.
Praise the Lord!
I realize the tie between Poland and Pope John Paul II is complex with deep spiritual roots, so let us pray that God will shine His light to scatter darkness and bring forth truth. May the people of Poland place their trust in the only One who is righteous -- the Lord Jesus. May they cry out to Him, the Source of all miracles and the Author of life. May they find hope, joy, freedom, and blessing in Him alone. O God, will you please shepherd the people of Poland.

Pruned (Przycinanie)
Łazienkowskiego (to jedno z naszych ulubionych miejsc) i byliśmy zachwyceni,
spacerując ścieżką w otoczeniu wielu ludzi.
Kiedy weszliśmy do ogrodu otaczającego pomnik
Chopina, byłam zaskoczona, kiedy zauważyłam, że krzewy różane zostały przycięte
prawie do samej ziemi.
przenikliwe i skuteczne.
2. Rozpocznij
przycinanie od podłoża rośliny. Bóg zna nas w zupełności. Kiedy
Przycinaj tak, by udostępnić centralnej części rośliny dostęp do światła i przepływu powietrza. Chce, abyśmy żyli, wzrastali i przynosili owoc! Oczyszcza nas, by mogło nas wypełnić Jego światło i Duch.
6. Jeśli świdry (rodzaj chrząszcza, który dociera do rdzenia drewna w stadium larwalnym i niszczy łodygę krzewu) stanowią problem, zalakuj przycinane miejsce białym klejem.
porę, kiedy powinno odbyć się przycinanie, by zwiększyć ilość owoców. Podczas
There are many things I love about Poland. For
example, I love that people in Poland enjoy taking a walk, especially on
holidays. So, yesterday David and I were eager to take part in this tradition.
We went to Łazienki Park (one of our favorite places) and were delighted to
stroll along the path with the many people gathered there.
As we entered the garden surrounding Chopin's statue, I was surprised to see that the rose plants had been cut down almost to the ground. The entire garden appeared brown and barren. I remembered being at this garden in the summer when the roses are in bloom, and it was quite a contrast. Today the roses were in a different "stage" of their growth.
Later in the day I decided to google "roses." :) I read that roses must be "pruned," and I realized that sometimes God "prunes" us as well. In John 15:2 Jesus says: "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit." As I read the instructions for pruning, I saw many parallels of how God, our good Gardener, tends us:
1. Use clean, sharp tools. God is holy; His ways are holy; His Word is sharp and effective.
2. Begin pruning from the base of the plant. God knows us completely. When He sees changes needed in our lives, He goes to the source of the problem -- to our innermost part.
3. Prune to open the center of the plant to light and air circulation. All of God's purposes for us are good. He wants us to live, grow, and bear fruit! He "prunes" us so that more of His light and Spirit can fill us.
4. Make sure it is a clean cut (not ragged). God is gentle and kind. His discipline is quick and accurate.
5. Remove all broken, dead, or diseased wood. Anything in our lives that is unhealthy, that is a distraction, that is unfruitful, He wants to remove.
6. If cane borers (cane świdry) are a problem, seal the cut with white glue. God is faithful to protect us from the evil one during those times when we are vulnerable.
I will have this picture of Chopin's garden in my mind for a long time. I want to bear fruit for God, so this means I will be pruned. Sometimes He must cut away sin, but sometimes He must also cut away good things in my life that are not bearing fruit. It is not easy to be reduced to a small stump in the ground. :) But God is wise and good. He knows the exact season when pruning should take place in order to bear more fruit. During this "springtime" in our lives, let us submit ourselves to Him in complete trust.
"Have Your way in us, O God! We trust You as our wise Gardener, so do whatever is needed to bear fruit in us! All glory belongs to You!"

Passover Lamb (Baranek Wielkanocny)
Wczoraj (w sobotę) mieliśmy piękny wiosenny dzień w Warszawie. Kiedy wieczorem
Niech każdy z Was przeżyje błogosławiony czas świąteczny i niech Boża radość i nadzieja promieniuje na Waszych przyjaciół i rodziny.
On zmartwychwstał! Zmartwychwstał naprawdę!!
It was a beautiful spring day in Warsaw yesterday (Saturday). As we strolled along the streets on our way home from a prayer meeting last night, the moon shone bright -- almost full. It was a lovely reminder that Passover begins on Monday night -- the spring festival celebrating the deliverance of God's people from Egypt. Even now, the Jewish people are sweeping every crumb of leaven from their home in preparation for this significant holiday.
In the same way, I am asking God to sweep away every crumb of sin that still hides deep within me. I am thanking God once again for the blood of the Lamb that covers the doorway of my heart. I rejoice that I have been set free from bondage and that God is leading me to a land filled with hope and promise. And I am praising God that our Passover Lamb (I Corinthians 5:7), Jesus the Messiah, is the risen King who conquered death and the grave! (Matthew 28:6)
Let us pray this week that Poland will experience the resurrection power and newness of life through our Lord Jesus. May each of you have a blessed holiday and may God's joy and hope radiate to your friends and family.
He is risen! He is risen indeed!!

Comfort (Pocieszenie)
W środę, 7. kwietnia 2010 roku, leciałam z
Warszawy do domu w Michigan. W sobotę, 10. kwietnia, wstałam
rano i włączyłam komputer, by przeczytać wiadomości z Polski. Wiedziałam, że
miała mieć miejsce wyjątkowa uroczystość w pobliżu lasu katyńskiego i byłam tym
zainteresowana. Kiedy otworzyłam przeglądarkę internetową i zaczęłam czytać o
niemożliwe, by prezydent Polski i tak wielu znaczących przywódców tragicznie
mocno dotknęło Polaków i będzie długo pamiętane.
Módlmy się, by pocieszył polski naród. Módlmy się, aby prawda została odkryta i by przyszło przebaczenie i uzdrowienie. Jedynie On zna przyszłość; jedynie On daje nam kolejny oddech. Kiedy dotyka nas tragedia, jedynie On jest naszą skałą i naszym schronieniem.
Bo skryje mię w dzień niedoli w szałasie swoim, schowa mnie w ukryciu namiotu swego,
Postawi mnie wysoko na skale. (Psalm 27;5)Pan jest mocą moją i tarczą moją. W nim zaufało moje serce i doznałem pomocy,
Rozweseliło się serce moje i pieśnią moją będę go sławił. (Psalm 28;7)
(Psalm 59; 17-18)
On Wednesday, April 7, 2010, I flew from Warsaw to my home in Michigan. On Saturday, April 10, I got up in the morning and went to my computer to read the news from Poland. I knew that a special ceremony was taking place near the forests of Katyn and I was very interested to read about this event. When I opened the internet and began to read about the tragic plane crash, I was in shock. I could not believe what I was reading. I thought it must be a mistake in the news, for it simply wasn’t possible that the president of Poland and so many important leaders had perished. I began to weep.
And now it is one year later. Still
there are many controversial theories surrounding the event.
Perhaps we will never know the complete truth about what happened on that
day. But one thing is for sure: this event has greatly affected
the people of Poland and will long be remembered
Now is the time for us who know the Lord Jesus to
pray. Let us pray that He will comfort the nation of
Poland. Let us pray for the families and friends of those who
died. Let us pray that the Polish people will lift their eyes to
Jesus and find hope and meaning. Let us pray for truth to be
revealed and forgiveness and healing to take place. Let us pray
for the leaders of Poland, that they will not trust in their own wisdom, but
they will humbly seek wisdom from God. Let us pray that all
peoples, including ourselves, will realize the frailty of life and will live
each day in such a way that pleases God. He alone knows the
future; He alone gives us our next breath. When tragedy strikes,
He alone is our rock and our refuge.
For in the time of trouble He shall hide me
in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle He
shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.(Psalm 27:5)
The Lord is my strength and my shield; My
heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and
with my song I will praise Him. (Psalm 28:7)
But I will sing of Your power; Yes, I will
sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning;
For You have been my defense and refuge in
the day of my trouble. To You, O my strength, I will sing praises; For God is my defense, my God of mercy.
(Psalm 59:16-17)

Zaczynam Go
It is good to give thanks to the Lord (Psalm 92). When we give a "thank offering" to the Lord, He is honored and He shows us His salvation (Psalm 50:23). I have found when I am having difficulties in my life, the best thing to do is speak words of thanksgiving to God. As I express my thanks to Him for even the most simple things, it opens my heart. I begin to praise God and to enjoy fellowship with Him.
As we pray this Monday, may I encourage you to focus on thanksgiving. May each of us spend the day speaking words of thanks to our good God. You may be surprised how such an "offering" of thanksgiving will transform your day!

Rest (Ukojenie)
Potrzeby i trudności życia
sprawiają, że czujemy się zmęczeni. Czasami nawet trudno jest iść naprzód.
Sprawy zdrowotne, problemy finansowe, napięte relacje, wymagania w pracy i
szkole... nasz duch staje się zmęczony i zniechęcony.
Ale pamiętamy o prawdach ze Słowa Bożego:
Przyjdźcie do mnie wszyscy, którzy jesteście spracowani i obciążeni, a ja wam dam ukojenie
(Ew. św. Mateusza 11;28)
Na niwach zielonych pasie mnie (Psalm 23;2)
Wszelką troskę swoją złóżcie na niego, gdyż On ma o was staranie (I Piotra 5;7)
Obyście przychodzili codziennie przed Pana i znajdowali ożywienie w Jego obecności. On ma o Was staranie.
Are you tired? :) David and I are exhausted after a very busy (but wonderful!) week with the students from the States. At 6:20am this morning as we took the bus to the airport, we watched as men, returning from their night's work, slept with their heads against the window. The demands and difficulties of life make us weary. Sometimes we struggle just to keep up. Health issues, financial problems, strained relationships, demands from work or school ... our spirits can become tired and discouraged.
Yet we are reminded of the truths from God's word:
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest (Matt. 11:28)
He makes me to lie down in green pastures (Psalm 23:2)
Cast your cares on Him, for He cares for you (I Peter 5:7)
The Lord is my strength and my shield (Psalm 28:7)
Truly my soul finds rest in God (Psalm 62:1)
Our prayer is that the people of Poland will find daily rest in God. If you are weary and struggling with many difficulties, we pray for you. May you come before the Lord daily and find refreshment in His presence. He cares for you.
