As the Waters (Jak morze wodami jest wypełnione)

Pośród niedoli w rozdziale 2. Księgi Habakuka pojawia się głęboka obietnica od Pana: Lecz ziemia będzie pełna poznania chwały Pana, jak morze wodami jest wypełnione. (Habakuka 2;14)

Oto obietnica, której się trzymam. Z niecierpliwością oczekuję dnia, kiedy Boża chwała okryje ziemię i każdy człowiek w każdym narodzie pozna, że Bóg Abrahama, Izaaka i Jakuba jest rzeczywiście jedynym prawdziwym Bogiem. Jezus będzie panował w chwale i wszyscy ujrzą i poznają, że jest zwycięskim Królem. Wow!

Boże, czy mógłbyć pokazać nam już teraz przebłysk Twojej chwały? Czy wzbudzisz w naszych sercach tęsknotę za Tobą i głębokie oddanie, by być wiernym aż do dnia, gdy ujrzymy Cię twarzą w twarz? Bądź wywyższony w nas, Boże! Niech Polacy ujrzą Twoją chwałę odbitą w nas samych, kiedy będziemy kierować nasz wzrok na Ciebie, Pełnego Chwały.

In the midst of the "woe's" in Habakkuk chapter 2, comes a profound promise from the Lord: For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. (Habakkuk 2:14) This is a promise that I cling to. I am eagerly awaiting that day when God's glory will cover the earth and all men in every nation will know that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is indeed the one true God. Jesus will reign gloriously and all will see and know that He is the triumphant King. Wow!

Even now, God, would you give us a glimpse of your glory? Would you stir in our hearts a longing for You and a deep commitment to be faithful until that day when we see you face to face? Be glorified in us, O God! May the people of Poland see Your glory reflected in each of us as we fix our eyes on You, the glorious One.
