All that matters (Jedyne, co się liczy)

A my - którzy znamy Boga - kochajmy się nawzajem coraz głębiej.

As 2009 comes to a close, I am reminded that all that matters is loving Jesus, being loved by Him, and loving others.

Let us join together in praying that the love of God will fall afresh on Poland in 2010. May hearts be touched by His love. May we who know God love each other more deeply. O God, teach us to love as you love!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
With love from the Hatfield family

I przyjdzie wkrótce ponownie, by odnowić ziemię i ustanowić tutaj Swoje królestwo na zawsze.

Chcemy zachęcić was z Davidem, abyście znaleźli więcej czasu, by modlić się w czasie tej przerwy świątecznej. Znajdźmy miejsce, by modlić się z innymi. Módlcie się
za Polskę. Módlcie się, by prawość i sprawiedliwość wypełniły tę ziemię.

Niech miłość i pokój Boży wypełni Wasze serca i Wasze domy!

These are crazy days we live in. Unstable economy, disputes about the global climate, threats of war, increasing immorality, acts of vandalism (e.g., the sign stolen at Auschwitz), and on and on. Yet into a similar world of chaos came the Prince of Peace -- Yeshua, our Messiah. And He is coming again as the King who will restore the earth and establish His kingdom here forever.

And for that reason we REJOICE during this Christmas season! Jesus is our hope and our coming King! Let us pray together that the name of Jesus will be exalted in Poland during the Christmas season. May each person be amazed by His glory and touched by His love. And may we, as believers, be quick to serve and love those around us by the power of His Spirit within us.

David and I want to encourage you to find more time to pray during the holidays. Pray with your families. Pray with your friends. Gather to pray in your homes and churches. We know there are special prayer services throughout Poland (e.g., the "Solemn Assembly" (Swiete Zgromadzenie) in Warsaw Jan. 1-3 (www.onething.pl). Find a place to pray with others. Pray for Poland. Pray for justice and righteousness to fill the land. Pray for salvation for the people of Poland. Pray for fresh hope to fill their hearts through the name of Jesus.

From the Hatfield family to each of you, we wish you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!! We thank God for you and are praying for you continuously. May the love and peace of God fill your hearts and your homes!!

Thirsty? (Spragniony?)

(codziennie)

Ks. Izajasza 55;1 -- Wszyscy, którzy macie pragnienie, pójdźcie do wód (...)
Jana 7;37 -- (...) stanął Jezus i głośno zawołał: "Jeśli kto pragnie, niech przyjdzie do mnie i pije"
Obj. św. Jana 22;17 -- (...) A ten, kto pragnie, niech przychodzi, a kto chce, niech darmo weźmie wodę żywota.

Ukochani w Polsce! Przyjdźcie do Jezusa i pijcie z głębokości wód życia!

Are you thirsty? Maybe you are busy doing many good things, but you are dry inside. This week I am sending just a short message: take a drink! (daily)

Isaiah 55:1 -- Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters ...
John 4:14 -- Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him, will never thirst ...
John 7:37 -- Jesus stood and cried out, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink."
Revelation 22:17 -- ...let him who thirsts come...let him take the water of life freely.

O, beloved ones in Poland! Come to Jesus and drink deeply of the water of life!

Light to the Nations (Światło dla narodów)

Niech światło Twojej twarzy świeci nad nimi i da im pokój.

There have been times when I have walked through the streets of certain cities or villages in Poland and tried to imagine what it was like 70 years ago when Jewish people lived there. It is difficult to comprehend that there was a large Jewish community (3.5 million) in Poland, and then, in such a brief time, they were gone. It is a tragic reality.

But recently I have been reminded that not all of the Polish Jewish community has perished. By no means! They live on! For example, I have a new friend here in Michigan who was born in Poland in 1925. She was forced from her home in 1939, and although she suffered in Siberia, she managed to survive the War. She and her husband live near us here in Michigan. She has children and grandchildren. And there are many more like her – Polish Jews who live all over the world.

I love my friend … but my heart is saddened because she does not yet believe in Jesus as Messiah. She says she has seen too much suffering to believe in God. This Friday evening, Dec. 11, the “Feast of Dedication” (John 10:22 ) – also known as “Chanukah” – begins. My friend will celebrate Chanukah. She reminded me this week that the Jewish people are called to be a light to the nations. I agree with her, but most of all I long for her to know THE Light of the world – Yeshua (Jesus).

Would you please join David and me this week in praying that during this Chanukah holiday – this holiday of lights – the eyes of the Jewish people will be open to see Yeshua as their glorious Messiah? May they understand that the same God who gave victory to the Maccabees and restored the Temple (168-165 B.C.) – will rescue and restore them once again through the Messiah, Jesus There is salvation in His name!

O God, bless Your people. May the light of Your face shine upon them and give them peace.
