Valley of Decision (Dolina decyzji)

David i ja właśnie wróciliśmy z Brukseli. Zgromadziliśmy się tam z wierzącymi z kilkunastu europejskich krajów, by modlić się za Europę. Był to dla nas wyjątkowy przywilej spotkać się w budynku Parlamentu Europejskiego i siedzieć w miejscu, gdzie przedstawiciele z Polski i
wszystkich krajów UE podejmują tak znaczące decyzje, które mają wpływ na nasz świat.

W Księdze Rodzaju 12;3 Bóg mówi Abrahamowi, że będzie błogosławił tych, którzy błogosławią Izrael i przeklnie tych, którzy przeklinają Izrael. To decyzja, z którą przez wieki konfrontują się narody. Czy uznają oni Boży plan i będą poważać Izrael, czy dumnie wybiorą swoją własną drogę?
W Księdze Joela 3;7 Bóg mówi, że przywiedzie narody do doliny i będzie je sądził na podstawie tego, jak traktowały Izrael. Werset 19. nazywa tę dolinę "doliną decyzji."). Pan zagrzmi z Syjonu i będzie walczył z narodami, które spiskują przeciw Izraelowi.

Są przywódcy pośród narodów Europy, którzy dziś spiskują przeciw Izraelowi. Są też inni, którzy wahają się w swojej "dolinie decyzji". Polska przyrzekła być sojusznikiem Izraela (potwierdzając to podczas ostatniego spotkania premiera Tuska w Netanyahu). Kiedy Polska przejmie prezydencję w Unii Europejskiej w lipcu 2011, jej rola będzie miała duże znaczenie. Módlmy się, by Polska była silna w swoim oddaniu dla Izraela, nawet jeśli będzie w tym osamotniona. Proszę, dołączcie do mnie i Davida w modlitwie za Jerzego Buzka, Donalda Tuska, prezydenta Komorowskiego i pozostałych przywódców Polski,]. (Modlimy się również za 50 polskich członków Parlamentu Europejskiego. Jeśli chcielibyście modlić się za jednego z nich, proszę dajcie mi znać.)

Bóg jest wierny, dotrzymujący przymierza, pełen miłości i łaski. Pragnie, by wszystkie narody chodziły w świetle Jego prawdy. Módlmy się, aby narody zgięły przed Nim swoje kolana i poznały pokój i radość, które płyną ze służby wiecznemu i pełnemu chwały Królowi wszelkiego stworzenia!

David and I just returned from Brussels, Belgium. We gathered with believers from several European countries to pray for Europe. It was a special privilege to meet inside the European Parliament building and to sit in the place where the delegates from Poland and all of the EU make such significant decisions that affect our world.

In Genesis 12:3, God tells Abraham that He will bless those who bless the people of Israel and curse those who curse them. This is the decision that has faced the nations throughout the centuries. Will they acknowledge God's plan and honor the people of Israel, or will they proudly choose their own way? In Joel 3:2, God says that He will bring the nations into a valley and He will judged them on account of how they have treated Israel. Verse 14 calls this valley the "valley of decision." The Lord will roar from Zion and fight against those nations who plot against Israel.

There are leaders within the nations of Europe who today are plotting against Israel. There are others who are wavering in the "valley of decision." Poland has pledged to be Israel's friend (as evidenced in PM Tusk's recent meeting with Netanyahu). As Poland takes on the leadership of the EU in July 2011, her role will be significant. Let us pray that Poland will continue to be strong in her commitment to Israel, even if she must stand alone. Please join Dave and I as we pray for Jerzy Buzek, Donald Tusk, Pres. Komorowski, and the leaders of Poland. (We are also praying for the 50 Polish members of the EU Parliament. If you would like to pray for one of these members, please let me know. )

God is a faithful, covenant-keeping God, full of love and mercy. He desires that all nations walk in the light of His truth. Let us pray that the nations will bow their knees to Him and know the peace and joy that comes from serving the eternal and glorious King of all creation!
