Rest (Ukojenie)

Jesteście zmęczeni? :) David i ja czujemy się wyczerpani po bardzo pracowitym (ale cudownym!) tygodniu ze studentami ze Stanów. Dziś o 6.20 rano, kiedy jechaliśmy autobusem w stronę lotniska, widzieliśmy ludzi wracających z nocnej zmiany, którzy zasypiali, opierając głowę na oknie. Potrzeby i trudności życia sprawiają, że czujemy się zmęczeni. Czasami nawet trudno jest iść naprzód. Sprawy zdrowotne, problemy finansowe, napięte relacje, wymagania w pracy i szkole... nasz duch staje się zmęczony i zniechęcony.

Ale pamiętamy o prawdach ze Słowa Bożego:

Przyjdźcie do mnie wszyscy, którzy jesteście spracowani i obciążeni, a ja wam dam ukojenie
(Ew. św. Mateusza 11;28)
Na niwach zielonych pasie mnie (Psalm 23;2)
Wszelką troskę swoją złóżcie na niego, gdyż On ma o was staranie (I Piotra 5;7)
Pan jest mocą moją i tarczą moją (Psalm 28;7)
Jedynie w Bogu jest uciszenie duszy mojej (Psalm 62;1)

Modlimy się, aby Polacy codziennie odnajdowali odpocznienie w Bogu. Jeśli jesteście zmęczeni i zmagacie się z wieloma trudnościami, modlimy się za Was. Obyście przychodzili codziennie przed Pana i znajdowali ożywienie w Jego obecności. On ma o Was staranie.

Are you tired? :) David and I are exhausted after a very busy (but wonderful!) week with the students from the States. At 6:20am this morning as we took the bus to the airport, we watched as men, returning from their night's work, slept with their heads against the window. The demands and difficulties of life make us weary. Sometimes we struggle just to keep up. Health issues, financial problems, strained relationships, demands from work or school ... our spirits can become tired and discouraged.

Yet we are reminded of the truths from God's word:

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest (Matt. 11:28)
He makes me to lie down in green pastures (Psalm 23:2)
Cast your cares on Him, for He cares for you (I Peter 5:7)
The Lord is my strength and my shield (Psalm 28:7)
Truly my soul finds rest in God (Psalm 62:1)

Our prayer is that the people of Poland will find daily rest in God. If you are weary and struggling with many difficulties, we pray for you. May you come before the Lord daily and find refreshment in His presence. He cares for you.
